Fire pits, fireplaces, fire walls — wood or gas, built to code.

Overview

Fire is the single most reliable way to extend a backyard's usable season — and the cheapest hour-for-hour upgrade you can make.

We build everything from simple stone fire pits to full masonry fireplaces with chimneys, fire walls with integrated benches, and gas-fed bowls set into walls and patio edges.

Every wood-burning feature is built to local code with proper hearth distances, non-combustible aprons and chimney rise. Gas features run on dedicated lines installed by licensed gas-fitters.

How We Build

Six Details That Set Our Work Apart

The visible surface is the easy part. What lasts is the engineering underneath.

01

Code-Compliant

Hearth clearances, chimney rise and combustible distances all to local code.

02

Steel Inserts

Heavy-gauge steel rings or fireboxes inside every wood-burning feature.

03

Wind-Tested

Designed for South Shore wind — chimneys sized to draw cleanly in coastal gusts.

04

Gas Lines

Dedicated lines run by licensed gas-fitters. Inspection sign-off on every install.

05

Wood Storage

Built-in wood storage niches keep dry split close by. No tarp piles.

06

Removable Top

Most fire pits include a granite or steel cover for off-season use as a table.

Common Questions

Fire Features FAQ

Wood-burning fireplaces and any gas-fed feature typically require permits. Open fire pits often do not — we confirm by town.

Wood is cheaper to install, more atmospheric. Gas is instant, controllable, no smoke. We do roughly half-and-half.

Code minimums vary — wood-burning features generally need at least 10–15 ft of clearance to combustible structures. We size to your lot.

Wood-burning, yes — sometimes the best months. Gas features need anti-freeze for the lines or seasonal shutoff.

Showed up when they said. Cleaned up every night. The crew is what sold me — same five guys, every day.
